John & Sabina
Elegant Garden Home Wedding
Tiburon, California
.
Like most couples this year, Sabina and John had to forgo their big beautiful June wedding. Geez, thanks again, Covid. But instead of postponing until next year, they scaled back and stepped up to embracing an intimate two-day garden affair at their home in Tiburon. Nestled under Tiburon Ridge, their home is already stunning inside and out. However, when you throw in some draping and a ton of beautiful floral arrangements, it becomes downright magical. The benefit to getting married at home is when you forget the rings, it’s just a quick run up the aisle to retrieve them. After that detour, Sabina and John exchanged heartfelt vows in front of a small handful of family members with a live stream for those who could only be there in spirit. The rest of the afternoon was spent toasting, laughing, and embracing the new normal along with the new family.
Celebration Day Two
So how do you improve an intimate backyard wedding? Celebrate again! Day two of this love fest enabled John and Sabina to include their close friends in the festivities. It also was a fantastic reason to get a second gorgeous wedding dress. (Just something to consider if you’re having trouble deciding which dress to pick). Throughout their relationship, John and Sabina have spent a lot of time exploring the ridge near their home. It’s where John proposed. So it was the perfect spot to take the newlyweds for their portraits. After a quick jaunt up the ridge, we headed back to their home to join the second wave. All in all, it was a lovely wedding weekend and not even Covid could change that.
