Rainy Day Wedding at Viansa Winery

On a beautiful yet rainy September day in Sonoma, Jason and John were getting ready together for their wedding at Viansa Winery. Despite the weather, they couldn’t be happier. They knew rain on your wedding day is supposed to bring good luck, and they embraced it. As did all of their guests who arrived by shuttle, very ready to celebrate.
After the ceremony in the wine cave, everyone made their way to the courtyard for cocktails overlooking the vineyard. The rain stopped, the air was crisp and the vineyard was glowing from a fresh rinse. It was then a double rainbow appeared. It was a breathtaking view.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a clumsy photographer loaded with gear run on wet concrete, but it was a funny sight. John and Jason requested 15 minutes alone before joining the party, but there was a rainbow. It was a double rainbow at a gay wedding – I was legally obligated to interrupt. And they were cool with it. I mean, who wouldn’t be?!
So you should know that if I’m your photographer and there is a natural weather phenomenon occurring during the main course, give me five minutes to photograph you enjoying nature’s majestic splendor. I promise you won’t regret it.
