An elopement is the ultimate in next-level romance. Exchanging vows on your own terms. Total privacy to truly be yourselves. No production, no opinions, no anxiety, just the two of you and me stalking you with a giant grin on my face. Maybe a handful of close family and some friendly farm animals, too.

California's wine country is one of the most beautiful locations to begin a marriage. My favorite local spot for such an auspicious occasion is Beltane Ranch. It has everything you could want for an intimate elopement. But I'll go anywhere there's cake so I can often be found in San Francisco, Carmel, Marin, Mendocino, and Big Sur.
