Casie and Austin’s Guerneville wedding at Sabor Mexicano Farms took place on the winter solstice. The low rolling fog that hung in the trees above the farm lent an air of mystery that blended beautifully with the crystals and candles scattered throughout the property. Casie and Austin caught their first glimpse of one another when we met under the redwoods next door at Armstrong Redwoods Reserve. They haven’t been able to tear their eyes away ever since. And who could blame them? They make a fine pair…and soon-to-be trio!
Their outdoor wedding celebration was a balanced combination of elegance and low-key fun. After heartfelt vows were exchanged in a full moon of rose petals, each guest joined in by laying a crystal on the petal border and speaking a one-word mantra into their marriage. The low-key fun part came later in the evening when we busted out the headphones. Guerneville’s noise ordinance required a silent disco but I doubt it appreciated our particular group of free-spirited party-goers. Nearly everyone wearing headphones was enthusiastically singing out loud and off-key, myself included. The lyrics weren’t our strong suit, but having a great time was, making it an excellent wedding to bring 2019 to a close.
