Sonoma County Coast Engagement Session

After being under a rather strict lockdown, the idea of getting back out into the world, around other human beings, was exciting on many levels. With the beaches finally re-open, Brienne, Brent, and I could finally stop postponing their engagement session. So we did it. We showered like grown-ups, put on real clothes, and being appropriately cautious, ventured beyond our respective front doors. We first met up at Portugues Beach where we were lucky enough to find very few people in attendance. It’s a gorgeous stretch of beach nestled under cliffs and huge rocks. It was here I discovered just how easy it was to become winded walking through miles of sand and climbing steep rock faces after three months of just holding my office chair in place. Embarrassing? Yes, but worth it to be able to do what I really love.
Since one beautiful beach wasn’t enough, we headed to the Scottish Highlands for a quick jaunt among the heather. Not really, but it kinda looked that way when we wandered the cliffs outside Jenner. Brienne and Brent looked right at home with the wind whipping their hair. They totally nailed their engagement session. They laughed and danced their way through a completely enjoyable afternoon of romantic freedom. And their joy made me even more excited for next year’s wedding.
